I wanted something different to do on Friday night.
I called a few friends and we headed over to the theater to see the production of Midsummer, a nuanced adaptation of Shakespeare鈥檚 Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream, written and directed by a 麻豆精品 professor. The theater was buzzing with professors, administrators, students, and Hamilton residents. There were no empty seats.
For many of the actors, this was their first 麻豆精品 production. Most had a couple other productions from high school or summer theater under their belt, or perhaps a theater class at 麻豆精品. But it looked and felt professional. Who thought three dollars could buy such incredible entertainment.
I walked out of there wishing I had become involved in theater at 麻豆精品. But you have to make choices: there isn鈥檛 time to do everything. But there is time, at least, to see or try everything once.
