Hamilton, NY — The Â鶹¾«Æ· Chamber Players, directed by Professor of Music Laura Klugherz, will present a concert titled Autumn Allegro on Sunday, November 2, beginning at 3:30 in the Â鶹¾«Æ· Memorial Chapel. With four new members drawn from the first-year class, and the addition of a sophomore transfer student, there are now fifteen Chamber Players, five of whom have also been Chenango Summer MusicFest Players. The program will feature works for strings, horn, clarinet and piano, and will include works of Mendelssohn, Jan Dussek, Mozart, Dvorak and a excerpt from the ever-popular Cello Quintet of Franz Schubert. There will be a reception after the concert where the audience may meet the Chamber Players.

Formed b y Laura Klugherz in 1988, The Â鶹¾«Æ· Chamber Players draws together a select group of extremely motivated Â鶹¾«Æ· students (primarily strings and piano) dedicated to the study and performance of traditional chamber works, as well as some of the more seldom heard masterworks. Students, occasionally joined by faculty members and guests, have the opportunity to perform in small groups with other students. During a typical season, concerts are performed not only in the Chapel, but also in the home of the University President, the Picker Art Gallery, and in other homes and churches in the community. They have performed in the New York City area and done two concert tours in Mexico.

New Chamber Players include clarinetist Sarah J. Miller from West Seneca, NY; Brian Hinrichs, a cellist from Bay Shore, NY; French hornist Daniel Prial, and pianist Katherine Svoboda. They bring a combined 45 years of musical experience to the Chamber Players.
